Joseph D. Everage, 74, of Connersville, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. He was born on March 27, 1943, in Newfoundland, Canada, and is the son of Joseph and Olive Francis Everage. He grew up in Martin, Kentucky, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. On August 14, 2001, he married Patricia Parker-Napier in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Joe taught at Connersville Jr. High School for 33 years and retired in 1999. He was an avid reader of history. He was a proud supporter of University of Kentucky athletics.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan (fiancé, Jeff Woods) Everage and Anne (Chad) Orschell; a step-son, Andrew Napier; three grandchildren, Payton and Addyson Orschell and Maxwell Napier; a brother, Robert (Kay) Everage; and three sisters, Cathy (Paul) Wade, Sheila (Johnny) Mayo, and Linda Everage, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Earl Hallman; a step-daughter, Jackie Hayden, and a nephew, P.J. Holbrook.

Services for Joseph will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00am at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
