Amanda Nicole (née Darr) Workman of Ashland lost her battle with addiction after a long valiant fight on Oct. 8, 2017 in Ashland at the young age of 30. She now rests peacefully and free of pain.

Amanda is survived by her mother, Penny Brown of Ashland, and father, Jon Schnittke of Mansfield; husband, Timothy Workman of Savannah; mother-in-law, Brenda Slaughter of Savannah; daughters, McKayla and Ariyah; sons, Ezra and Elijah; sisters, Brittany, Kaley and Tyffany; brother, Brandon; great-grandmother, Helen; grandparents, Joyce, George and Doug (Belinda); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Her sister, Jessika, preceded her in death.

Amanda was born on Dec. 21, 1986 in Ashland to Jon and Penny. She graduated from Ashland High School in 2005 and obtained a license in cosmetology at the Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center.

Amanda was an accomplished hairdresser who loved blessing others with new styles that they would adore. She was an avid volleyball player and loved many sports. She was an enthusiastic Cincinnati Bengals fan. She was a generous individual who loved her family and who was passionate about helping others. She was an active and dedicated member of the Church and she believed strongly in her faith. She was loved by so many in the community. Amanda was a loving daughter, sister, wife and, most importantly, mother.

A graveside service will be Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the Ashland Cemetery with Pastor Mel Helton officiating. Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Amanda’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brandon Schnittke, 313 Center St., Ashland, Ohio 44805 for Amanda’s children’s education fund.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, love and support that they have shown and continue to show.
