Oldest child and only son of Rev. Guy Fansher and Ella Russell. He graduated from Simpson College, where he excelled in academics and track and field competitions. After serving in WWII as a warrant officer he married Adelaide Perkins of Beloit, WI. They had 2 children. He worked as an engineer for Fairbanks-Morse in Beloit. He passed away suddenly from a cerebral hemorrhage.
