Bill worked as a cabinet maker at Good Displays before retiring in 1990. He was a proud blood donor for a countless number of years after discovering his blood type was perfect for premies. Bill was a longtime member of Christ the King Church where he attended mass daily. He was also a member of the Ohio Good Sam's RV Club and enjoyed spending time at Holiday Travel Park in Leesburg Florida. For more than 40 years, he spent time at Lake Pleasant and Bird Lake near Hillsdale Michigan.
He is survived by his loving children, Gerald (LueAnn) Abair, Jean (John) Meyer, Carol (Bob) Lindsay, Sally Abair, Kevin (Kim) Abair; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Joan Valentine; brothers Fred and Larry. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Pat, brothers, Ralph and Jackie; sisters, Eleanor Brainard and Sr. Angelita.
Friends are invited to visit from 4:00-8:00pm on Sunday October15, 2017 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave. where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Visitation will also begin at 9:00am on Monday at Christ the King Church where the Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00am. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
