Shirley M. Konop, age 88, a longtime resident of Francis Creek passed away peacefully at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls early Thursday morning, October 12, 2017.

Shirley was born in Francis Creek on October 15, 1928, daughter of the late Clifford & Julia (Hartl) Rowe. A graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1947, she married Leo Konop on April 26, 1952 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2010. She was employed at the Manitowoc Tinsel Factory, Hessel's Supper Club & later when it became Doolan's Supper Club. Shirley was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a member of St. Anne's Altar Society up until 2017.

Survivors include son, Gary (Ellen) Konop, Germantown; daughter, Kay Konop (Stephen Webb), London, England, 2 granddaughters, Sarah (Joshua) Lutz, Menomonee Falls; Laura (Andrew) Kielbasa, Brookfield; great grandson, Brent Lutz; 2 brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, James (Patricia) Konop, Manitowoc; Joseph Remiker, Manitowoc, several cousins, nieces & nephews; lifelong friend, Dot Bouril & special friends, Dr. Terry & Judy Gueldner & family; Mike & Von Kornely & family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; sister, Beatrice (Charles) Prather; 3 brothers-in-law & 4 sisters-in-law, Charles (Mamie) Konop; Louis (Doreen) Konop; Emily (Leonard) Loritz; Mary Remiker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. Rev. Jeffrey J. Briones will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the Konop family.
