A caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Ray Franklin Coody, 77, of Walker, LA.; passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at North Point Health Care in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born January 30, 1940 in Albertville, Alabama, the son of Homer L. Coody and Corine Allen Coody. He was a retired auto mechanic and attended the Bible Missionary Church.

He is survived by his wife Judy Forman Coody; four daughters, Rebecca Slaughter and her husband David, Sheila Ramieza and her husband Danny, Debbie Ramieza and her husband Paul, and Angie Roubique; Grandchildren, Honor Hamrick, Nathan Slaughter, Byran Slaughter, Shyann Slaughter, Patrick Ramieza, Bulk Ramieza, Curly Ramieza, Christy Ramieza, Paulette Ramieza, Maria Ramieza, Bubba Ramieza, Austin Newsom, Tiffany Newsom, and Hannah Roubique; two brothers, Jim Coody and his wife Vivian, and Ken Coody.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer L. Coody and Corine Allen Coody; one grandson, Chuck Hamrick; one brother, Jack Rogers; and one sister, Daphine Bradley.

Visitation is Monday October 16, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. John McKim. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Cemetery near Gloster.
