EDINBURG - Wilma Ann Spence Kieffer, 74, passed away in her home in Edinburg, Texas on Friday, June 10, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1936, in Bluefield, Virginia, to Alec and Blanche Spence. She was the youngest of their nine children. During a visit with her sister in Edinburg, she met and fell in love with Louie Kieffer. They were married for 53 years. They lived in Edinburg where she was a homemaker and mother to their six children.
Left to cherish the memories of her are: her husband, Louie Kieffer, her children: Mike (Patti) Kieffer of Midland, TX, Kim (Bruce) Orr of Ft. Worth, TX, Greg (Patti) Kieffer of Temple, TX, Jeff (Velma) Kieffer of Lexington, TX, Martha Angela Hoke of Edinburg, TX and Becky (Gene) Connolly of College Station, TX, grandson, Bryan Hoke of Edinburg, fourteen other grandchildren, one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family Visitation will be held Today, Tuesday, June 14 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, June 15 at 10 am with both being held at Skinner-Silva Funeral Home, 122 West Samano in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery in McAllen. Pallbearers include: Dennis Goldsberry, Jack Rabe, Greg Pinkston, Kristina Orr, Jason Orr and Kevin Orr. Honorary pallbearers are Russel Vos and Warren Allen.
