Louise M. Kodet, 97, of Howards Grove, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Sheboygan Senior Community. Louise was born June 21, 1920 in the Town of Hartland, Shawano County the daughter of William L. and Minnie (Hardrath) Miller. Louise was a graduate from Reedsville High School Class of 1938, she then attended Manitowoc Vocational School. On October 1, 1960 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Reuben P. Kodet in Manitowoc. Reuben preceded her in death on September 18, 2007.

Louise was employed at the Manitowoc County Register of Deeds as Deputy Register of Deeds. When she retired in 1979, she moved out to her home at Cedar Lake. She had a very strong faith. Louise was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, and enjoyed singing in the Senior Choir. Louise had a heart of gold. Her love of animals lead her to be a charter member of the Lakeshore Humane Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.

Louise is survived by her daughter Linda (Leo) Wagner of Sheboygan, and by her grandchildren, Joseph Wagner of Vancouver, WA and Julie Wagner of Sheboygan. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 47 years Reuben, infant brother and sister, brother Leonard Miller, four sisters; Lillian Sobieck, V. Sue Barth, Myrtle Schanke, and Mable Schroeder.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:30AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, W2776 State Rd. 32, Howards Grove, with Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 10:30AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Lakeshore Humane Society of Manitowoc in Louise's name.
