Graveside Rites Scheduled at Arlington Cemetery

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Marlin A. Prather, of Baltimore, daughter of a former Governor of Georgia, will be held at 2:30 P.M. today at Arlington National Cemetery.
Mrs. Prather, who was 76, died Wednesday at Union Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She lived in the 3200 block of St. Paul street.
A native of Newnan, Ga., Mrs. Prather was the former Miriam Atkinson. Her father, W. Y. Atkinson, was Governor of Georgia from 1892 until 1896.
Her maternal grandfather, John Milton, was Governor of Florida during the Civil War.
Mrs. Prather's husband, who died in 1964, was an automobile dealer in Annapolis, a manufacturers' representative in Baltimore - and was associated with the Commercial Credit Corporation.
Mr. Prather served as a lieutenant colonel with the Rainbow Division during World War I. He was a lieutenant colonel at the age of 32 and the youngest person of that rank in the American Expeditionary Force.
Mrs. Prather was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution [sic], Daughters of the Confederacy, the Grand Jurors Association and the Rainbow Division Auxiliary.
She was active in various Democratic clubs in the city and State.
Mrs. Prather is survived by a son, Americus Mitchell, of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Bradfield, of Ormand Beach, Fla.
