Tyler TX – Laura Lee (Harrington) Britton departed this life on October 21, 2017 to join her parents David Samuel Thomas Harrington & Betty Louise (Lontz) Harrington, sister Barbara Ann (Harrington) Tatom, brother Steven David Harrington and two infant sisters who both died at birth, and her nephew Sean McQueen
She was born May 15, 1952 in Chicago Heights, Illinois; she graduated in 1970 from Portage Central High School, Portage, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years Kenneth R Britton, Winnsboro; son & daughter in law Michael Lee (Michele) Harrington, Gatesville, Texas; son & daughter in law Christopher Kenneth (Tiffani) Britton, Petersburg, Indiana; 5 granddaughters: Cassie, Denetra, Kiara, Breanna & Kinzlee; 2 grandson: Garrett & Noah and 1 great grandson Aenjel; one sister Karen McQueen, Illinois and many nieces, nephew and friends. She had no daughters but was honored to have two very special nieces Sandy Gomez and Kelly See; Her nephew Robert Gomez was someone that she depended on to help her husband when she needed help getting up when she would fall.
She enjoyed spending her days playing games on her phone, watching TV, spending time with family and friends, having her alone time when her husband would go support the kids of Winnsboro.
There will be a graveside service on November 18 @ 11 am at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Retreat, TX outside of Corsicana. At the time of her burial, her and her sister Barbara will be laid to rest together.
