Canna Iris Adams Webb

Canna Iris Adams Webb, 80, wife of the late Anthony Lee “Ben” Webb, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born May 12, 1937, in Whitesburg, KY, Iris was the daughter of the late Riley “Bug” and Marjorie Day Adams.

Iris was a former teacher’s aide for Emma B. Ward Elementary School in Lawrenceburg and a secretary for businesses in Lawrenceburg and Whitesburg. She was a member of Tyrone Baptist Church, a former member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star in Whitesburg.

Iris is survived by two sons, Tony (Karen) Webb and Mark (Jennifer) Webb, both of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Daniel (Rachel) Dadisman, Jacklyn Webb, Kate Webb, Ethan Webb and Jonathan Webb; two brothers, Jack (Mable) Adams and Richard “Bud” (Brenda) Adams; two sisters, Dixie Brown and Judy (James) Gilley; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Iris was preceded in death by her daughter, Julia Dorene Webb; and a brother, Bill Adams and his wife Norma.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28th beginning at 2:00 PM at Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Road, Lawrenceburg, KY. Iris’s son Bro. Mark Webb will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 PM Friday and after 11 AM until the time of service at 2 PM on Saturday all at Sand Spring Baptist Church.
