Daniel H. Yerkes was #633 in the book The Chronicles of the Yerkes Family by Josiah Granville Leach. He was the 5th son and 6th child of Hiram Yerkes by his wife Anna Lewis, and he was born at Richboro, Bucks County. He married Emma Jane Townsend in February 1860. Mr. Yerkes was a wagon and carriage builder. He lived at Ashborne and moved to Philadelphia in 1885. He was a Presbyterian.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock for the late Daniel H. Yerkes at his residence, 1145 Erie avenue. He died Tuesday.

Mr. Yerkes, who was born at Jenkintown, had been a resident of this city for the last thirty-five years, engaging in the wagon building business. He had been a member of the Masons since 1872, when he joined Friendship Lodge, No. 400, F. and A.M., of which he was past master. He was also a member of Abingdon Chapter, No. 245.

Interment will be private in Northwood Cemetery. He is survived by a widow, Emma Yerkes, three sons and two daughters, all of Philadelphia.
