Agnes Marie (Buller) Liermann, 85, of York passed away suddenly on Oct. 25, 2017 while on vacation in Washington.

Agnes was born to Klaas P. Buller and Anna (Hiebner) Buller on Oct. 20, 1932 in Lushton.

Agnes grew up on the family farm north of Lushton, where she loved the farm life. She went to school in Lushton and graduated from Grafton High School. She then left Lushton to move to York, while there she worked as a Switch Board Operator at the York Telephone and Telegraph Company.

Agnes married the love of her life on Nov. 11, 1956 in York. Together they operated a trucking company and were blessed with four children.

During her life Agnes loved to spend time with her friends having card parties and going polka dancing. She often went on family trips to visit her brothers and sisters as well as her daughter, who lived out of state. She loved to attend as many of her children and grandchildren events as she could attend. She was also a “semi” pro bowler and often bowled at state tournaments.

She always looked forward to the holidays with her family, so she could spoil her grandchildren. During the summer she loved to watch the birds build their nests in the many bird houses she had. She was always making quilts or doing crossword puzzles. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran church.

Agnes is survived by her husband of 61 years; by three daughters and a son; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers ; and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sisters Katherine Moulton and Margaret Burger, plus many other aunts and uncles.

Services were held November 4, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran church York, NE with inurment in the Waco Cemetery.
