Elaine A. Paschke, age 94, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Elaine was born on July 31, 1923 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Zastrow Winter. She was a life-long faithful and devoted member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church.

Elaine was baptized in 1923 and attended Frist German Ev. Lutheran Grade School and was confirmed in 1937. She then attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1941. Elaine worked at the office for the Manitowoc Local Draft Board until her marriage to Darrel A. Paschke on January 18, 1947. The couple briefly lived in Milwaukee before happily returning to Manitowoc in 1948. Elaine was an energetic booster of Manitowoc and its people. She and her husband Darrel lived there until Darrel died on June 10, 2009 and Elaine continued to live at the family home with sons Todd and Benjamin until her death. Elaine was a devoted mother and homemaker, the best God ever made and she had a perfectionist personality. Her energetic tales about people and stories of Manitowoc are unmatched.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law: Timothy and Diane Paschke, Muskego; Todd Paschke, Manitowoc; Ned and Tamalyn Paschke, Madison; Benjamin Paschke, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Kristin (Timothy) Magner, New Berlin; Paul (Kristin)Paschke, Vernon; Alexander (Karen) Paschke, Portland OR; Nathan (Adnrea) Paschke, Watertown; Daniel (Laura) Paschke, Carmel, IN; Aaron Paschke, Fort Lauderdale, FL; seven great grandchildren, one sister: Marilyn (Lee) Baryenbruch, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law: Norma Winter, Bartlesville OK; Myrtis Winter, Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Anna Winter; husband: Darrel A. Paschke; two brothers: Robert and William Winter.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at First German Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Benjamin Schaefer with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then at First German Ev. Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
