John was a retired fork lift driver for the A&P Warehouse and a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Opal Irene (Gadd) Cole; daughter, Patricia Faye Cole; brother, Manual R. Cole and sister, Edith Brooks. John was preceeded in death by his parents, Arthur and Maggie J (Bowman) Cole and a brother, Albert Lee. His service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Chasteen Cope Cemetery in Clearcreek, KY. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
