Kathy A. Kuether, age 68, of 2509 45th Street, Two Rivers, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday evening, October 25, 2017, with her loving family at her side.
Kathy was born in Two Rivers May 17, 1949, daughter of the late Wally and Dorothy (Gronowski) Culligan. She attended schools in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1967. On June 9, 1973, she married James Kuether at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Kathy was an avid Packer Fan; she loved to golf; and treasured the time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was employed at the Carron Net Company for several years, and retired as assistant manager of J.C. Penney's in Manitowoc after 31 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; one daughter & son-in-law, Heather and Dave Rupp, one son & daughter-in-law, Bret and Jenna Kuether, all of Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Tyson, Brock and Gillian; two brothers & sisters-in-law, Pat and Sherrie Culligan of Two Rivers, Dan and Ann Culligan of Middleton. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Kathy (Rod) Karman of Manitowoc; one brother-in-law, Bill (Mary) Kuether of Stevens Point; and a very special niece, Shannon Wall of Manitowoc; along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Chester and Joyce Kuether; a granddaughter, Allison; one sister, Mary Ann Haese; and her "special companion", Reebok.
A private memorial service will be held for family and very close friends at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St. Two Rivers. Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma will officate at the service, with burial of her cremated remains to be held in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
