Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, at Bittiker Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial will be in Brotherton-Little Adkins Cemetery in Carrollton.

Virginia is survived by her children: Richard Nei and wife Amy, of Springfield, Missouri and Lorrie Shoemaker, of Coushatta, Louisiana; her mother, Gwen Brotherton, of Carrollton, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Ashley Elliott, Jessica McWilliams, Nikki Friend, Amanda McWhirter, Justin Nei, Brooklyn Nei, Jay Cooper, Tyler Nei, and Patrick Cason; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings: Carolyn Cason and husband Joey, of Carrollton, Danny Brotherton and wife Velma, of Coushatta, Louisiana, Judy Haywood and husband Scottie, of Pittsburg, Texas, Helen Thomas, of Carrollton, Paul Thompson and wife Janet, of Pittsburg, Texas, Chuck Thompson, of Slater, Barbara Cloud, of Carrollton, Rhonda Brotherton, of Kansas City, Rita Holler, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sharon Landers and husband Joe, of Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Thompson; and step-father Bill Brotherton; three brothers; one sister; one grandchild, Kyle Boone; and one great-grandchild, Kali Thomas.
