Gerald retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He later ended his working career with the United States Army Corps of Engineers in 2006. Gerald was an elder board member with Trinity Christian Center in Forest Hill.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Esther G. Bell of Alexandria; his children, Jennifer Heath and her husband Christopher of Cedar Park, TX, and Janice Herrera of Vancouver, WA; his sister, Elieen Bell Stokes and her husband Kenneth of Forest Hill; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Trinity Christian Center, with Dr. David Remedios officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Trinity Christian Center at 3466 Hwy 112, Forest Hill, LA 71430.
