Services honoring the life of Carlyn Faye Fryer will be at 11:00 a.m., with viewing starting at
9:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. A
viewing will be at Hayhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. with family in attendance to receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Carlyn was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ralph and Lily
“Juanita” (Carlin) East. Carlyn passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Tulsa,
Oklahoma at the age of 75.

Carlyn graduated from Tulsa Central High School and went on to attend the University of
Tulsa. She worked for Shell Oil as a credit analyst.

On November 29, 1963 Carlyn married Jerry Wayne Fryer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their union was blessed with six children. Carlyn was a wonderful wife and devoted mother. She adored her family and loved spending time with them.

Carlyn enjoyed reading in her spare time and was passionate about researching family genealogy. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at 4110 S. 100th E. Ave., Grant
Building, Ste. 101, Tulsa, OK 74146.

Carlyn is survived by her husband, Jerry Fryer of Broken Arrow, OK; Children, Tara Bishop and husband Jerry of Tulsa, OK, Sherrelyn Kimberlin and husband Dustin of Colorado Springs, CO, Sunny Fryer of Colorado Springs, CO,Jerry Fryer II and wife Jennifer of Firestone, CO, Keith Fryer and wife Jamie of Broken Arrow, OK, and Joshua Fryer and wife Erin of Broken Arrow, OK; 18 grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Carlyn was preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandsons, Michael Sean Ebald and
Matthew Taylor Kimberlin and 2 sisters, Elain and Sandra.
