Deonea Jennette Yamauchi, age 74, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017.

She was born on November 16, 1942 in Selma, Alabama to Claude and Lillie Inez (Stroud) Middlebrooks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Y. Yamauchi; a son, Kenneth Lamar Tanner; her parents; and a brother, James A. "Jim" Middlebrooks.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Stanley, and Shirley Bennett of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her children, Mary Boyd (Brian Jamerson) of Springdale, Arkansas, James (Mary Jo) Tanner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wallace (Jane) Yamauchi of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Joyce (Adam) Hilbish of Neosho, Missouri, Wanda (Johnny) Williams, Louise (Jeff) Cook, and Ressie (Perry) Yamauchi of Phenix City, Alabama; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

We are grateful for the special attention from her caregiver, DeeAnn Sprott.

Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas.

The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas as she is laid to rest beside her husband.
