Shirley Joyce Powers, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was incredibly beautiful and caring. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all. Shirley was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Iona Hartwig of Fort Atkinson, WI. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School and cosmetology school in Madison. On May 9, 1964, Shirley married her devoted husband, Tom Powers at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson.

Together they lovingly raised their six children: Tracy (John) Fenlon, Valders; Tammy (Jim) Berner Powers, Greendale; Tom "Harry" (Tami) Powers, Manitowoc; Joe Powers, Manitowoc; Valerie (Keith) Klein, Manitowoc; and Seth Powers, Manitowoc. Shirley is also survived by two sisters: Beverly Herrington and Debbie Fischer; two brothers: Doug Hartwig and Russell Hartwig; also other family and friends.

The strongest and most amazing woman we will ever know has gone to Heaven to look over us.
