Delores A. Yohanek, age 87, formerly of 1032 Rapids Road, Manitowoc passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Azura Memory Care in Manitowoc.
The former Delores Remiker was born June 8, 1927 in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Louis W. and Susan (Fogeltanz) Remiker. On May 20, 1953 she was married to Edward J. Yohanek at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. She was employed briefly at National Tinsel Company and volunteered at Holy Family Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and fishing at the cottage on Little Sturgeon. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the Catholic Knights and Kubale-O'Connell VFW Auxiliary Post #6179 of Kellnersville.
Survivors include her husband: Edward Yohanek, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law: Dolores Remiker, Milwaukee; Rose Sleger, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Louis and Susan Remiker; one infant brother; two brothers: Arthur E. Remiker and Louis R. Remiker; one sister and brother-in-law: Evelyn (Norbert) Chaloupka; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: John (Florence) Yohanek; Jerome Sleger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street Manitowoc. The Rev. Dave Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
