Alvin Glen Adkins Sr., 69, of Greenview went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his son, Alvin Glen Adkins Jr. (Luke) of Greenview; father, Leroy Adkins; mother, Loretta Ruth Baker Adkins also Carol Ann Adkins Price all of Van, WV.

He was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was also a member of Greenview Community Church at Greenview.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Faye Jeffery Adkins of Greenview; his children, Glenna, Jeffery, Anna, Hollie, Canaan and Janie Ball of Greenview, Debbie Adkins Daniels and Charles of Charleston; grandchildren, Basil Dotson Jr. of Greenview, Sasha and Ennis of Charleston, Ciera Adkins Maize and Ben of El Paso, Texas, Sierra Fleming and Justin Cook of Charleston, Destiny Adkins Browne and Itanif of El Paso, Texas, Lucas, Cheyenne, Isiain, Kaitlyn Ball all of Greenview, and Jeremiah Dotson of Greenview and a lot of non-related grandchildren of everywhere; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Corbin, Carlianne Ennis of Charleston, WV and Dedan Cook of Charleston, WV.

Alvin Glen Adkins will be so greatly missed and love by EVERYONE.

Glen’s service will be 12 Noon on Sunday, November 5 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville performed by Pastor Luke Cooper. Burial will be in the Jones’ Family Cemetery at Greenview.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
