Cecil Fraser Sanders, 90, passed away on November 5, 2017 at his home.

A native of Hiawassee, Georgia, son of the late Cecil Charles and Margaret Ada Stroud Sanders, he was a self-employed brick mason, a U.S. Army WWII and Korean War Veteran and a member of Community Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Connice Moore Sanders of the home; one son, Barry Fraser Sanders (Deborah) of Taylors; two daughters, Angela Coppins (Ken) of Greer and Andrea Smith (Ethan) of Taylors; one brother, Cecil Sanders, Jr. of Hiawassee, GA; two sisters, Pamela Ayers and Sherline Rogers both of Hiawassee, GA; ten grandchildren, Samuel Sanders, (Amber), Rachael Kappel (Jon), Rebekah Renfrow (Preston), Catherine Anne Sanders, Hannah Allen (David), Jonathan Coppins, Emily Sanders, Joshua Smith, Luke Smith, and Benjamin Smith and three great-grandchildren: Jacob Sanders, Jackson Kappel, and Harrison Kappel.

Mr. Sanders was predeceased by four brothers, William E. Sanders, Dale Sanders, Jerry Sanders and Sherlock Sanders; two sisters, Norine Barrett and Laversie Sanders and two great-grandchildren: Levi Sanders and Kayleigh Sanders.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery conducted by Mr. Ethan Smith with military rites.
