He lived in New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York in 1860 and New Jersey in 1870. He died on 5 April 1876, in Essex County, New Jersey at the age of 74, and was buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair, Montclair Town, Essex County, New Jersey.
