Julia "Abata" Fioravanti, 76, wife of Henry Fioravanti, passed away in her Southington home on the afternoon of Monday, October 2, 2017, surrounded by family. Julia was born June 22, 1941 in New Britain to Charles and Cora Abata. She was adored by her family and friends, and always took great pleasure in feeding them. Before retiring with her husband, Julia worked as the seamstress for New Britain General Hospital, as well as by request for her family. In addition to her husband, Julia is survived and will be deeply missed by: daughter, Rosie Girardin and husband, Ken; son, Dominick Palmisano and wife, Andrea; stepdaughter, Krystine Hobson and husband, Butch; stepson, David Fioravanti and wife, Susan; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and another on the way. Julia was predeceased by her parents as well as her brothers, James and Charles Abata.
