Edith Ruthann Durham, 65, Muncie, died at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017, in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on February 6, 1952, to the late Henry and Oleta (Hines) Bousman. On April 2, 1983, Edith married Alan Durham, and he survives.
Edith loved to cook and was employed in Food Service at Westview Elementary School, Jonesboro. She was a real people person and loved making people happy. Everyone that knew her loved her. Edith dearly loved her family and always put family first.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Alan; her son, Daniel (Denice Emerson) Durham, Muncie; her sister, Maribelle Bousman, Jonesboro; and many loved nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Bousman.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
A funeral service to celebrate Edith's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the funeral home with Chaplain Don Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
