Funeral services were held Saturday at Bradley's Creek Baptist Church in Lascassas for Jesse Grant Haynes, 66, of Lebanon. Mr. Haynes, an employee at Hartmann Luggage, died Thursday, at Humana Hospital McFarland following a short illness. James Lassiter officiated the funeral service assisted by Raymond Price. Mr. Haynes, a native of Rutherford County, had been a resident of Lebanon for approximately 47 years. He is the son of the late Charlie and Elizabeth Herrod Haynes. Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Nellie Adams Haynes; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Nell Poteet, Mrs. Doyle (Ann) Jordan and Mrs. Nancy Stroud, all of Lebanon and Mrs. Patsy Barrett and Mrs. Shirley Reed, both of Auburntown. He is also survived by two sons, James W. Haynes, of Algood and Melvin Haynes of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; and four sisters and six brothers, all of Shelbyville.
