Western Recorder Newspaper (Southern Baptist)---March 19, 1852
Thornton Morris, son of Harrison and Mildred Morris of Henry County, KY, at the house of a friend in Shelby County, KY. His health had been delicate for several years; and on a visit with a relation he was taken with hemorrhage of the lungs which soon terminated in death, at about the hour in which he was twenty-four years old. When quite a youth, he professed hope in Christ, and became a member of the Baptist Church at Hillsboro.
He has left a kind father, a dear afflicted mother, a number of brothers, the church at large and numerous relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Interment was in the Morris Cemetery #1.
