Alexander B. Ansel, Jr., 68, of Brunswick, passed away November 10, 2017.

Beloved husband of 47 years to Bonnie (nee Garrett); loving father of Alexander D. (Shari) and Karon (Tim); dear grandfather of Amber, Alicia, Charles, Nathan, MaKenna, Alexander Jr., Timothy Jr., Chelsey, George, Raeleigh and Madison; great-grandfather of Bentley; cherished brother of Jim (Carol), Sam (Diane), and Bill (Michelle); also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Alexander served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the American Legion and the Otitarian Society. He served as a police officer with the Cleveland Police Department and retired after 25 years of service.

Visitation is 12-2 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Southwest General Hospice.
