Dora Donato, age 86, of Athens, McMinn County, Tennessee, passed away Thursday Nov 9, 2017, at her residence.

A native of Costa Rica, and a resident of McMinn County, Tennessee since 2008, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Adoracion Alcazar Donato.

She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Athens. She was retired from The Times Picayune Newspaper as an advertising salesperson.

Survivors include her: Son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Susan Brown of Athens, McMinn, Tennessee; Five brothers and sisters-in-law: Francisco and Sharon Donato of Metairie, La; Raymond and Virginia Donato Chickasaw, Al

One great-grandchild, Rhiannon Faith Stanley; Seven nephews: Don Donato, Todd Donato, Andrew Donato, Daniel Carriere, Matthew Donato, Adam Donato and Alex Donato; Seven nieces: Danielle Donato Hullfish, Adoracion Donato Croft, Angel Donato Rodriguez, Amber Donato, Abigale Donato, Sofi R. Qureshi and Olivia Forney Donato.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Father Jim Haley officiating.

The interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-5pm on Sunday, Nov 12, 2017, in the chapel.
