Sandra F. Schema, age 59, of 8904 Point Creek Road, Newton, died on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Sandra was born on March 5, 1948, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Herman and Gloria (Jaehnig) Haefke. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, with the class of 1966. She married Jerome N. Schema on May 26, 1972, in Marinette, Mich. She attended Lakeshore Technical Institute and graduated with an associate's degree in police science. She was the manager of the Muskie Mart at Lakeland College.
Survivors include her husband: Jerome N. Schema, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law: Glenda and William Alvarez, Round Rock, Texas; and Heather Schema, Casco; one grandson: Michael Nachtwey, Casco; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sandra and Paul Woelfel, Chilton; Thomas and Nancy Schema, Manitowoc; Edward and Fay Schema, Elkhart Lake; and Jane and Michael Mueller, Whitelaw; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Norman and Hattie Schema, St. Nazianz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. Chaplain Kelly Stone will officiate. Burial will follow at Saxon Cemetery, town of Centerville.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, from 5 until 8 p.m., and again on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
