He was born the son of the late Alberry Fisher and Ruth Ballard Yarbrough. He was also predeceased by his wife, Betty Lou Batson Yarbrough; and son, Michael Yarbrough. Mr. Yarbrough was a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church and for many years was a faithful employee of E.W. Godwin's Sons, Inc. "Lumberman" died at his home at age 71. Shares a stone with Betty Yarbrough
