The former Virginia Breit was born on May 3, 1927, in St. John, Wis. to the late Peter and Pauline Gruber Breit.
She attended grade school in Chilton.
On May 26, 1948, she married Darrel Gasch at Woodville, Wis. Darrel preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1997. In addition to raising her children, she worked at Kestell Furniture in New Holstein.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Selk (Terry Nelson) of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia and Phyllis Pendleton (Michael Pendleton) of Kingston, Wash.; a granddaughter, Miquela A. (Pendleton) Pierce and a brother, Leroy Breit (Georgiana Breit) of Kiel.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Darrel; and two brothers, Harold and Roland Breit.
SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at the Sippel Funeral Hom, 2618 Altona Ave. in New Holstein.
