Achilles R "Rudy" Salerno, 80, of East Pittsburgh died Saturday, Nov 8, 2003. Rudy was a World War II Army veteran and a retired employee of Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh Plant. Rudy was a member of East Pittsburgh VFW Post 5008 and an aficionado of big band music and jazz. Husband of Cheryl A (Gosik) Salerno. Father of Renee, Diane, Rudy, Phillip, Susan and Joanne and also of Tony and Jeff Ronallo. Brother of Phyllis Santella. Also survived by several grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday and Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Wednesday in St William Church of Holy Cross Parish. Interment with military honors will follow in Mononaghela Cemetery.
