STEVENSON Rev. L.M., 78, of Oklahoma City, died peacefully in the arms of Jesus, Nov. 30, 1994. A good and faithful servant of God and man.
He was born in Farnam, Ne, June 19, 1916. He came to Oklahoma City in 1947 where he met and married Velma Hill on Feb. 9, 1949.
Together they shared a great love for the hurting youth, especially boys. That love led to founding of Wesleyan Youth Inc. May 1, 1949 where they helped hundreds of troubled boys until semi-retirement in 1979. Rev. Stevenson continued to serve Wesleyan Youth as Chaplain until his health prevented it in 1994.
Rev. Stevenson was preceded in death by his wife in 1992. He is survived by his daughter, Charmagne Howes and son-in-law, David Howes Sr. of Choctaw, Ok; one granddaughter; one granddaughter-in-law; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; a host of friends and additional family.
Our deep loss is heavens most precious gain. Dad, your memory will be with us forever and ever.
Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 1994, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City, 5005 SE 29th. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 700 SW 104th. BIOG: NAME:
