Mildred, the only girl of 10 children, grew up on the family farm in Pound and graduated from Coleman High School.
She married the love of her life, J.F Dale Berman on June 7, 1952.
She resided in Peshtigo most of her married life. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church having served as a Sunday School teacher and being a member of the Ladies Aid. Millie was a proud 60 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was the bookkeeper for the former Peshtigo Shell gas station for many years which was owned by her husband.
Millie’s greatest joys were being a good wife, homemaker and raising her 5 children. She will be remembered for her bountiful meals, hospitality and great stories.
Mildred is survived by her faithful husband Dale of 65 years;
four daughters: Catherine (Keith) Malmstadt of Holland, MI; Corrine Mayer of Dousman, WI; Jean (Dr. Daniel) Chantz of Allison Park, PA and Mary (Shapour) Arami of St. Charles, IL;
Grandchildren: Jarrid (Danielle) Berman, Jamie (Scott) Bloch, Katie Malmstadt, Robert Malmstadt, Paul Mayer III, Tim Mayer, John (Molly) Mayer, Marie Mayer, Caroline Chantz, Melissa Chantz, Jonathan Chantz, Emily Chantz, Samantha Chantz, James Chantz, Saydie (David) Downs, Sara Arami, and Arman Arami
and great grandchildren: Morgan and Megan Bloch, Kai Edmonds and Brody Bukauskas.
She was preceded in death by a son James.
Visitation will take place Tuesday Nov. 21 from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo. Visitation continues at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peshtigo on Wed. Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. until the time of service 11. Pastor David Murphy is officiating. Burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
