Ada Louise Stewart Morrison was born in Iredell County on August 31, 1931, to the late Thomas Lee Stewart and Ella Moose Stewart. She was married to the late Albert Morrison. Ada attended Celeste Henkel School and retired from Doosan.

Being one of 10 children and raised on a farm, Ada was a smart, strong and creative lady, who would work harder than anyone else around her as though she was in a competition and she had to be the winner. Ada loved reading (especially Louis Lamour books), flowers, sewing, gardening, canning (especially green beans), quilting but most of all she loved her family.

Ada was predeceased by brothers, Fred Stewart, John Stewart, Oscar Stewart, Paul Stewart, and Alvin Stewart; sisters, Margaret Hooks, Margie Landaeta, and Mary Pauline Stewart. She was also predeceased by a great-grandson, Nolan Morrison.

Ada is survived by her son, Steve (Claudia), granddaughter, Tonya Morrison; grandsons, Steven II (Bridgett) and Andy Morrison (Tiffany). Great-grandsons, Ben Morrison, Dustin Ross; great-granddaughters, Madison Hellard, Alyssa McKnight, Keeli Morrison, Megan Morrison, and Sydney Morrison; a great-great-grandson, Chayden. Ada is also survived by a sister, Dollie Hedrick and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at New Amity ARP Church with Rev. Dr. Earl Linderman and Rev. Robert Sherer officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM just prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Amity ARP, P.O. Box 127, Scotts, NC 28699 or Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
