VICTOR A. BEAUDRY
(1921 - 2016)

On 10 February 1921, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, Victor Alphonse was born to Joseph and Anna Boucher Beaudry. In his early years, he shared the household with two brothers: Edward (Avis) and Lawrence (Mary Lou) and four sisters: Ceil (Herbert) Peterson, Irene (Matt) Warram, Ileana (Rueben) Noworatzky and Evelyn (John) Kieffer.

He attended grade school in Stiles Junction, learning the basics in a one room school house for the entire 8 years. Victor served his country and all humanity during the Second World War. He was part of the 126th YD serving under General George Patton, sharing vivid memories of the Battle of the Bulge to any who would grace him with their hearing.

After his honorable discharge from the Army, Victor married Caroline Zemblowski (four months after her high school graduation) in October of 1947 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. They then moved to Green Bay and resided there for many years. Life really got exciting after the birth of his two children: Douglas (Kinya) and David; three grandchildren: Jason, Christopher and Crystal; and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom are living. Caroline preceded him in death in 1975, at the age of 46.

God never meant Victor to be alone. He then married Ann Chaulkline in June of 1987 at St. Mary's Hospital Chapel, enjoying almost 10 years together in California and Green Bay. Ann preceded him in death in 1997, at the age of 83.

Victor worked many jobs in his life: drove truck for a milk route in Gillette, Wisconsin; Bay West Paper Company and Ness' Standard Service Station, and as a Fireman-Custodian at John F. Kennedy School, all in Green Bay. He even owned his own carpet cleaning business. Not being able to sit still, the man could make or fix anything: making skies out of wooden slats as a boy to servicing cars in later life. He sang in choirs as a boy and later in Church choirs with Ann. Victor resided in Manitowoc since 2010, until he drew his last breath in this life on Tuesday, 23 February 2016 in the presence of his care minister from St. Francis of Assisi.

Others who live on are his sister and brother-in-law Ileana and Rueben Noworatzky (David's God-parents) and Caroline's brother and sister-in-law Cyprian (Buddy) and Katie Zemblowski (Douglas' God-parents), special niece Ann Marie Radke and scores of nieces and nephews.

A private Liturgy of Christian Burial was already held at Victor's request. A Memorial Liturgy (Mass) will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, February 27 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Road in Newton, with his son Fr. David presiding. Visitation will be held from 8:00am until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. The Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com

Heart-felt thanks to the good people of Laurel Grove, Shady Lane and the staff of Changing Seasons and Reflections at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, as well as the Churches of St. Agnes, Green Bay, St. Francis of Assisi, Manitowoc and St. Thomas the Apostle, Newton for the many ways they shared the love of God with our dad.
