Maggie Julia Mitchell was born July 24, 1898, in Kentucky, USA.

She married Joe Verkuyl in 1920. They went on to have two sons, Richard and Donald Verkuyl.

Joe preceded Maggie in death, in 1959, as did her son Richard, in 1982.

Maggie passed away June 7, 1984 in San Luis Obispo, California. She was laid to rest in Grangeville Cemetery; Kings County, Armona, California.
