Larry “Buddy” Henry

Passed away Friday, November 24, 2017, at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center of Saginaw; age 81 years. Larry was born on August 1, 1936, in Flint, MI to the late Edward and Loretta Henry. He was married to Karen Laux; she predeceased him on October 16, 2015.
Larry served in the United State Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was previously employed by Art Van and the Lutheran Brotherhood. Larry was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Stevens Ministry, Lions Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 150 where he was a past commander.
Surviving Larry are his sons, Scott Henry of Frankenmuth, MI, Gregg Henry of Grand Haven, MI; grandchildren Anna, Caden and Shadae; a brother, Edward (Marilyn) Henry of Birch Run, MI, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Henry.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church with cremation to follow. Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate. Larry’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, November 27, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the St. Lorenz Building Fund.
