Wesley Leroy "Roy"Barnette,87,of Waynesboro,died Thurs.March 15,at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro.
Survivors include his wife,Ethel L.Barnette of Waynesboro;a son,James Barnette of Quitman; a daughter,Joyce Frasier of Waynesboro; and several grandchildren,great-grandchildren,step-grandchildren,and step-great-grandchildren.
Barnette was born on October 8,1919 and was a native of Wayne County.Barnette was a sales clerk and a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church,where he served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon for many years.
Funeral services were held March 17 at FreemanFuneral Home with the Rev.Ken Johnson,Rev. Edward Shoemaker,and Rev.Phillip Gandy officiating.Interment followed at Waller Ridge Cemetery in Wayne County.
Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro was in charge of arrangements.
