Michael J. Reckker, age 62, of Burtchville Township, passed away on November 20, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side.
He was born on January 1, 1955, in Port Huron, to the late Edward and Bertie Reckker.
Mike loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting was always a favorite of his all his life. He built mini mod pulling tractors and raced them in many events. Mike won several trophies to show for his magnificent talent.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Paul (Donna) Reckker, 2 daughters, Ashley Reckker and Amber Reckker, 2 sisters, Judith (Fred) Short and Patricia (Paul) Davidson, lady friend, Edith Chivers, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, November 24, 2017, in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron. Jerry Schriber will officiate. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday, 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
