Gazette: (1/15/1970) Services for Albert Dale Cayton, Jr., 17, of 197 Tanglewood Trail, Gloria Glens, who was killed in an auto accident near Lodi, Wednesday, will be held at 1 p. m., Friday in Parker's Funeral Home in Lodi. A junior at Cloverleaf High School, the youth was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dale Cayton Sr., the deceased leaves three sisters, Sheila, Vickie and Carolyn, and four brothers, Jerry, Keith, Dana and Tracy, all at home. also surviving; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Albert Singleton, Dutch, WVa; paternal grandparents, Mrs. Edith Connard of Pennsylvania and Dee Cayton, Walkersville, WVa; paternal great grandfather, Joe McCauley, Orland, W Va. Friends, may call at the Parker Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday. After services at the funeral home in Lodi, additional services will be held in the Alcar Funeral Home, Arlen, W. Va, at 1:30 p. m. sunday, burial will be in Long Point cemetery, Walkersville Wva.


This was one of the worst car crashes, 7 teens were hurt and 2 killed. It was after school, they were on their way home.
