Because of her Hodgkins disease her immediate family moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be with her parents for assistance. She fought a brave and long fight (12 years of extensive treatment) but subcumed to her illness in Phoenix, AZ. on November 2, 1986.
Her survivors include her parents, her husband Herb Allen and children Diane and Howard. A sister Arlene Shayer of California also survives. Her sister-in-law Sandy(Charles) Inserillo of Brooklyn, New York and their two daughters, Lynda and Debbie inserillo.
Services were held and her cremains have been scattered by her children in Oakcreek Canyon, Sedona, AZ.
