Franklin Arnold Hybskmann

Word came to Centralia relatives of Franklin Arnold Hybskmann that he had passed away at the hospital in Topeka last Friday night, December 31, 1943. He was born January 18, 1872, at Centralia, Kansas. Centralia was his home for many years. His father was a miller and he learned to be a miller and worked at his chosen work for a good many years, both in his father's mill here and in other mills.

In his youth he joined the Congregational church here, and was a regular attendant at church and Sunday school.

He is survived by five brothers and two sisters: P.H. Hybskmann, Vermillion; Alfred and Harvey Hybskmann, Seneca; J.W. Hybskmann, Corning; Ralph Hybskmann, Axtell; Mrs. O.A. Blair, Centralia; Mrs. E.J. Horth, Brighton, Colo. His father, mother and one sister, Mrs. Ray Condit, preceded him in death.

The body was brought here from Topeka last Saturday morning and laid in state at the Popkess Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at the Funeral Home last Sunday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. C.Z. Allsbury. Mrs. Dale Bryan and Miss Lola Brown sang "Sweet Bye and Bye." The pallbearers were four brothers, a nephew, and an old neighbor: Peter, Alfred, Will, and Harvey Hybskmann, Raymond Blair, and Harry Roberts.
Burial was in the Centralia cemetery beside his parents Mr. and Mrs. August Hybskmann.
