The Leavenworth Times

Mrs. Estella M. Andermatt, 81, RR 4, died at 2:30 p. m. today at Cushing Memorial hospital where she had been a patient the past month. Mrs. Andermatt had been in failing health four years and critical the past month.

Mrs. Andermatt was born Aug. 15, 1881 at Winchester, a daughter of William and Melinda Housh Jones. At Leavenworth, on Nov. 11, 1897, she was married to Albert Andermatt, Mr. Andermatt died March 27, 1956. most of her life had been spent at Easton with the exception of the past seven years she had made her home with her daughter Mrs. Agnes Freer, RR 4. She was a member of the Easton Baptist Church of which she had been clerk of the church for seven years.

Mrs. Andermatt is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Freer, RR 4; four sisters, Mrs. Dolly Keller, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Roy Beatty, Meriden, Kan.; Mrs. Minnie Gabbert, North Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Hazel Blevins, Sarasota, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery northeast of Easton.
