LIVED A CENTURY.
Death of a Farmington Lady Who Was 101 Years Old.
Farmington, Nov 19. - Aunt Dorothy Moon Kimball, who was by far the oldest inhabitant of Davis county, died at her home in north Farmington night before last. The old lady's age is variously estimated at from 95 to 101 years. It is known that she was born in the month of February, but the exact year is in doubt, though one of her relatives, who resides in Idaho, is authority for the statement that she had passed the century mile-post and was in fact 101 years of age last February. She was a native of England and after uniting herself with the Mormon church she came to Utah and sometime during the '50's settled with her kinsfolk in Farmington.
For a great number of years she has led a secluded, uneventful life; seldom indeed has she been seen outside of her own home, and the very fact of her existence was almost forgotten by all but the most intimate of acquaintances of her family. This is accounted for by the fact that she was an invalid.
She had no children, in fact she may be said to have been an old maid, though many years ago the sealing ordinance of the Mormon church was performed uniting her to President Heber C. Kimball, whose name she has since borne.
Funeral services over her remains were held in the Farmington meeting house today at which Bishop J. M. Secrist presided. Her earthly remains were laid away in the Farmington cemetery, where she ranks as the oldest inhabitant.
An infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Moon died on Wednesday and the funeral services were held today in connection with those of Mrs. Dorothy Kimball.

A double funeral occurred at Farmington last Friday, and at the services the singular spectacle of infancy and extreme age lying side by side in the cold embrace of death was held. Nearly a century divided the lives of the two whom the grim destroyer had summoned to leave this sphere of action. One was Dorothy Moon Kimball, aged 102 years, and the other was the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Moon. - Lehi Banner.
