Funeral. Yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, the lifeless body of Miss Sadie Szold, who died Sunday, April 16th, 10 o'clock in the evening, at the young age of 25 years, daughter of the widely respected Rabbi Dr. B. Szold, was taken from her parents' home, No. 702 West Lombard Street, to the Jewish cemetery of the Oheb Shalom congregation on Philadelphia Road, and there laid to eternal rest. Rabbi Dr. Wilh. Rosenau of the Hanover Street Synagogue delivered the funeral oration, while Cantor Alois Kaiser performed the ritual prayers. At the request of the survivors there were no flower donations. Giving the final honor as pallbearers were Messrs. S. Sonneborn, Jak. Holländer Hugo Steiner, Benj. Friedmann, H. Hartogensis, and L. Levin. Miss Sadie Szold was born in Baltimore on February 14, 1868, and had an excellent upbringing and education, and was loved by everyone who knew her, whether for her noble character or her kindness.

Mourning are the elderly parents, Dr. and Mrs. Szold, four sisters, and a large circle of family friends and acquaintances. From near and far, the bereaved relatives were shown the most heartfelt condolences and sympathy for the heavy blow afflicting them. Miss Sadie succumbed to phenmonia, suffering for only five weeks, despite the best care and attention. Among grieving survivors are Messrs. Joseph Jastrow of Madison, Wisc., Dr. Markus Jastrow of Philadelphia, Miss Nellie Jastrow, Rabbi Dr. Hochheimer, Rabbi Dr. Wolf Wilner, Mr. and Mrs. Rosenstock, Dr. Harry Friedenwald, Misses Grace and May Vendann, Martha Reizenstein, Tillie and Fannie Kann, Martha Rosenfeld, Birdie Rosenberg, Emma Ulmann, Etta Cone, Etta Guggenheimer, Mrs. Heinrich Lauchheimer, Mrs. David Oppenheimer, Mr. and Mrs. Isaak Strouse, Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Strauss, Mrs. B. F. Ulmann and Mr. S. Fleischer.
