Imo Laura Ridenhour, age 96, of Eureka, formerly of Belle, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Marymount Nursing Center in Eureka.

Imo was born April 30, 1921, in Ellington, Mo, a daughter to the late Elmer and Elle (Chitwood) Black. On February 3, 1940, Imo was united in marriage to Wilber N. Ridenhour in Union, Mo. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1992.

Imo was a member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, being an excellent seamstress, gardening, canning, traveling, going to listen to bluegrass music and square dancing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Imo is survived by: one son, Forrest Ridenhour and his wife Caroline of Eureka; two grandsons, Randy Ridenhour and his wife Angie of Wildwood and Darren Ridenhour and his wife Christy of Kirkwood; three great grandchildren, Nick, Erica and Luke; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband of fifty one years, Imo is preceded in death by one sister and 6 brothers.

Visitation for Imo will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery near Belle. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Sassmann’s Chapel, Belle, MO. (859-3712) Charitable donations may be made to: American Cancer Society.
